First Sunrise

Been sick for weeks. RSV, thick goo with persistent hacking cough from Hell.

As I’ve gotten better, I’m able to notice the sunrise, today’s felt magical. A simple watery sunrise, nothing spectacular, one that’s gentle and golden.

It caught me off guard.

I’m grateful for it.
